On the way to Gertrude's nose.
The ledges near Gertrude's Nose have a sheer drop and many deep fissures across the landscape. Be sure to stay on trail as much as possible or risk having to backtrack to avoid an impassable crevice.
With few trees to act as a wind break, the few that survive on these cliff ledges show how difficult life can be with prevailing winds out of the west.
