A small cemetery where the Buchanan family is buried can be found just off to the side of the trail.
Flowers can be seen blooming along the trail in the spring.
There are areas of the trail that can be particularly wet, especially after a rain. Here, you can see where the trail essentially is a creek.
The trail is well covered with shade, especially through areas with thick rhododendron.
One fire ring, but good flowing creek on both sides of camp site. Plenty of dead wood for fire.
The Cooper Road Trail breaks off to the right and climbs the hill seen here while the Cane Creek Trail goes straight ahead.
