The flagged hiker's crossing of the Smoky River, seen from the end of The Log as the hiker's trail emerges from the forest onto the gravel flats of the southwest river bank. Looking closely, in the center on the far side is a hikers marker to aim towards.
The Smoky River spread out across gravel flats, making for a lower water level and easier ford. Tatei Ridge is the mountain in the center with Chetang Ridge to its left. Seen looking upstream (southeast) at the alternate Smoky River crossing.
