There are scores of great overlooks like this one off Gertrude's Nose Trail. Here, look down on Gardner, NY, and in the right acoustic conditions, you can clearly hear the cows mooing in this farming town.
The highlight of the trail is Gertrude's Nose itself, but there are many great viewpoints along the way as well
