Sandhill Loop is much dryer and more open than other parts of Big Thicket.
There are lots of opportunities to see these bayou root things in Big Thicket.
Although Big Thicket is a National Preserve, dogs are allowed.

Trail begins with concrete pavement transitions to a nice boardwalk then to a well-maintained natural trail.
