Heading into the Santa Cruz Mountains on the Kennedy Trail, take time to enjoy your lush green surroundings.
This tree marks a popular turnaround point about 2.4 miles into the Kennedy Trail from the northern parking area.
Mt. El Sombroso at 2,999 ft in the Santa Cruz Mountains is the highest point on the farthest ridge (center right).
This is one of my favorite views coming down from the top of Kennedy.
Looking northeast on Kennedy Trail, Mt. Hamilton (4,265 ft.) stands in the distance with San Jose peeking through the trees below.
