Lights from the communities surrounding Sequoia off to the west. On the east side of Moro Rock, there are very few lights, making it great for star gazing.
Looking toward Castle Rocks, Paradise Peak, and Sawtooth Peak from the end of the trail.
Watching the stars come out at night on top of Moro Rock is great. Looking toward the Western Divide, there is little light pollution and the mountains spread before you, especially if the moon is out.
Looking back toward the parking lot, you can see the wooded nature of the surrounding area.
Views of the Sierra Nevada Range abound from the top of Moro Rock.
Nearing the top of Moro Rock, all that is keeping you from going over the edge is a guard rail.
The trail is great at night for star gazing. If there is a full moon, the steps are easy to ascend.
