After crossing the railroad tracks drop off the paved trail and follow this path into Chamna Natural Preserve.
Take the trail branching off to the left.
After crossing the Yakima River take the path to the right that drops down and under the bridge.
The Badger Flats Trail curves back toward the trailhead.
The beginning of the Canyon Trail leads into the bluffs.
The Badger Flats Trail makes for straight & level footing.
