As you move downhill, you can see the North Wilderness trail off in the distance.
The surrounding hillsides in the other direction.
A view of the high peaks from the summit of the hill. It's a great view, but as you can see it's pretty exposed as you have climbed out of the creek area and a majority of the big trees are gone.
Looking uphill, you can see the trail climbing to the top of the hill.
The trail turns sharply north at this point.
The trail is sandier in this portion of the trail than the other side. This makes climbing up the trail from the High Peaks side more difficult than climbing up from Old Pinnacles Trailhead side.
