These log crossings can be slippery and mossy. Here, the footlog crosses the Left Prong.
Water crossing the trail. Rock hops are required to get across a couple of branches that cross the trail.
Fungi on the trail. Lovely autumn views!
The trail is rocky and uneven as it climbs towards Russell Field Shelter.
The final uphill push to the shelter is really rocky, and can be a stream if its been raining.
