Finley Cane is also a horse trail, as evidenced by this area to tie up your horses for a rest.
Little springs like this make their way down to the trail. Salamanders and mushrooms flourish in these environments.
The wide Bote Mountain Trail works its way up Bote Mountain. Sometimes, downed trees are obstacles in the Smokies, although they are usually easy to get around.
Rhododendron can be seen toward the end of the Finley Cane Trail. The tree is found all along the trail and blooms in July, providing great opportunities to photograph it's white flowers.
