The trail ends at the junction with the Bote Mountain Trail. Your options are listed on the signs. The Smokies do a great job with marking the various trails and mileage.
Little springs like this make their way down to the trail. Salamanders and mushrooms flourish in these environments.
The wide Bote Mountain Trail works its way up Bote Mountain. Sometimes, downed trees are obstacles in the Smokies, although they are usually easy to get around.
The trees lose their leaves in the late fall and winter, allowing the sun and clouds to be seen through the forest.
Views of Spence Field and the rest of the peaks covered in snow after a recent storm. Views like this are found on this section of the Bote Mountain Trail.
