Twin Arches [Suggest Edits]
Description
These arches are the largest arches east of the Mississippi and are claimed to be the most impressive arches in the U.S. (but that is up for discussion). The North Arch has a clearance of 51 feet, a span of 93 feet, and its deck is 62 feet high. The South Arch has a clearance of 70 feet, a span of 135 feet, and its deck is 103 feet high. This is an awesome place to visit while you are in the area. And unlike most arches in the U.S., you get to hike over the arches before descending them.
Short Hike: It is only a few miles from the parking lot, using the Twin Arches Loop Trail or the Twin Arches Trail.
Family Friendly: The arches are easy to access and fun for the entire family to explore.
Gem Type: Natural Arch
