Description

The top of Brasstown Bald sits 4,783 ft above sea level, and 2,110 above the rest of the area. As low as that sounds, it still offers amazing views of the entire surrounding forest, and the Blue Ridge Mountains. There is also a very neat visitor center and museum on the summit.

Short Walk: Use the Brasstown Bald Trail (0.6) miles, or take the shuttle for just a few dollars.

Family Friendly: The viewpoint is easy to access, and kids will enjoy exploring the museum.

You can't go directly to the top now. You have to park in the lower parking area, and hike the .6 miles. There are plenty of benches along the way.
