Ginnett Mine [Suggest Edits]
Description
This is the location of an old copper mine from the 1910s. There is also an old cabin that the miners used. The mine goes about 60 feet into the hillside. It is one of many mines that the Ginnett Family dug. In fact, the land was the site of their homestead. Bring a light if you want to explore the mine and maybe rain boots as water collects in it.
Short Hike: Accessible from the John Tursi Trail and 5 Wonders Trail.
Family Friendly: Kids will enjoy exploring the old mine.
Gem Type: Historic Site
