Vulcan Hot Spring [Suggest Edits]

Description

Not far from Warm Lake, this fantastic geothermal wonder pours an entire creek worth of near-boiling water out of several large cracks above a large manmade pond held back by an old beaver dam style log levy.

There is plenty of room to swim, though the water is a bit on the hot side for most folks and can turn your skin red in just a few minutes. Many prefer to soak below the levy enjoying cooler temperatures further from the source.

Some years There are red spider mites along the shores and on the rocks. Mind where you put your towel and shoes.

There is so much hot water at Vulcan Hot Spring that the US Department of Energy has been scheming over it's geothermal potential for years.

You may encounter trash from sub-human apes that came before. Do not hesitate to remove trash when you see it and for sure don't be that ape.

Short Walk: Simply take Vulcan Hot Spring #072 about a mile.

Family Friendly: Plenty of room to play and soak at the same time. Kids should not be allowed to test the water temperatures alone. Hot water can sneak up on you so take it slow and test any area you are taking kids.
