Description
Standing at a total of 1716 feet above sea level, the 34-foot tall Haystack Mountain Tower is the centerpiece of Haystack Mountain State Park. The tower provides 360-degree views of the surrounding area and mountains. Constructed in 1929, this structure is not only scenic but also historic. The views from this tower are unparalleled during the fall and is a must-see for locals and leaf peepers alike.
Short Hike: The tower is accessible by either the Haystack Tower Loop Trail (approximately one and a half miles) or by the Haystack Mountain Road and a few unblazed trails. Please note that Haystack Mountain Road is only opened seasonally.
