Cattail Falls [Suggest Edits]

Description

This may be one of the most spectacular hidden waterfalls in Texas. Not found on most maps, Cattail Falls is a rare haven of life in the surrounding desert, holding water even in the driest seasons. Few places in the desert can match the type of environment created by this cool and moist canyon.

PLEASE HELP PROTECT THE FALLS

Do NOT wade or bathe in the pools. Soaps, sunscreens, and oils damage water quality.

Limit your group size to 10 or less. Large parties should split into smaller groups and visit the canyon at separate times.

Stay on the established trail, because the vegetation is easily damaged. Stay on bare rock below the falls.
