Description
Just off the main road, the Inferno Cone is one of the Craters of the Moon's most iconic features. A short climb up its sandy slope leads to panoramic views which, on a clear day, span for miles around. The Inferno Cone Trail is a great opportunity for people who want to get up-close to this volcanic landscape without going too far from their car.
Short Walk: Parking is available at the base of the cone. A short but fairly steep path leads up the parking lot to the top of the cone.
Family Friendly: A short jaunt just off the road that isn't too hard to reach.
