Burney Falls [Suggest Edits]
Description
Nestled within the McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park Campground, Burney Falls stands at a majestic 129 feet, being fed its water from old volcanic springs and feeding into Lake Britton. It's noteworthy to mention that 26th President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt, called this little gem the "8th Wonder of the World."
On the Road: The lookout is a few hundred feet from the parking lot and a simple quarter of a mile down to the base of the waterfall. Falls Loop takes you from the base of the waterfall and around back up to the lookout point.
Family Friendly: Well-maintained and clean trails make this an easy 1.3 mile loop.
Gem Type: Waterfall
