Crows Nest Lookout [Suggest Edits]

The view to the southeast is amazing!

Crows Nest Lookout, on a rocky, steep sided bluff, overlooks the vast Pine Creek drainage/valley. This valley has been carved by Pine Creek and its tributaries such as Fremont Creek, Bridger Creek, and other creeks. Several small lakes are along these creeks. Triangle Lake and Long Lake can be seen.

As a point of interest, directly across the valley, behind Triangle Lake, on the valley's rim on the far side, is another awesome lookout—Photographers Point. Triangle Lake is about the same distance - a little over 2 miles as the "crow flies", from both Crows Nest Lookout and Photographers Point. BUT there is no direct trail connecting these two awesome lookouts.

In the far distance, along the skyline, are rugged peaks of the Wind River Range, including Angel Peak and Angel Pass on the Continental Divide.

Overnight Trip: Crows Nest Lookout is found at the 6.0 mile mark of the trail to Summit Lake #7165, or at the north end of Crows Nest Lookout Trail.
