Description
This is the highest peak in Vermont at almost 4,400 feet. Enjoy wonderful 360-degree panoramic views from above the treeline of the surrounding areas include Stowe and Champlain Valley.
The peak is also surrounded by delicate Arctic Tundra, a rarity for the area.
Short Hike: There are many routes to the top, but the most common is Eagle Cut Trail to Sunset Ridge Trail. One can also take the a toll road most of the way to the top, and this road is accessible from Stowe Mountain Resort. The hike is one-of-a-kind and is much preferred to driving!
