Turkey Pen Ruin

Description
After initial occupation by the Basketweavers, the Anasazi built these structures between 1000 and 1250 AD. This ruin is two levels, although the upper one is closed. The "turkey pen" is a set of sticks, once covered in mud to make solid walls, though it probably didn't actually house turkeys.
Many excellent pottery shards can be found all over the ground. Walk carefully and don't disturb this amazing history.
Half-Day Hike: Hike 4.7 miles along the Kane Gulch Trail.
