Description
Moon House is a remote undeveloped ruin in McLoyd Canyon southeast of the Kane Gulch Ranger Station. Public access is limited to 20 people per day via a permit system for day visits. During the spring and fall high use seasons permits are available only at the Kane Gulch Ranger Station.
From a scientific perspective, Moon House ruin is world renowned, unique to the region, and is a significant cultural treasure. Restrictions and management prescriptions are intended to minimize conflict between recreational use and cultural resources.
