Description

Bear lake is an exceedingly popular attraction in RMNP due to it's easy access and stunning natural beauty. Consider a short hike around the lake on the Bear Lake Trail or a longer hike on one of the adjacent trails. Interpretive signs on the trail offer great info about the area's natural and human history.

Short Walk: Park at the Bear Lake Trailhead and follow the Bear Lake Trail around the lake.

Family Friendly: Explore the edges of the Lake while enjoying the guided trail tour that explains the area's history. Water holds an amazing variety of plant and animal life that will pique a child's curiosity.

Small lake surrounded by beauty. Went at sunset and had the mountains reflected on the surface. Well maintained trail for the crowds.
