Devil's Golf Course [Suggest Edits]
Description
Devil's Golf Course is one of the most interesting geologic areas in Death Valley National Park. In ancient times, a lake existed in the area, covering the entire valley. As the region became arid, the water began to evaporate, leaving behind the salt crystals visible today. These salt crystals create eye-popping and sometimes bizarre formations, creating a fascinating collection of jagged formations.
Visitors can explore the area at will as there are no official trails, but it is requested that care is taken with these incredible crystalline features. Use caution for yourself as well, as the spires and crystals are jagged.
Be aware that the road to the Devil's Golf Course is often closed after rain.
On the Road: When the road is open, incredible crystals can be seen a short stroll away from your vehicle.
Family Friendly: The unlikely formations of the crystals here will captivate young imaginations.
