Bright Angel Point [Suggest Edits]

Description

One of the best viewpoints on the North Rim! From the North Rim Visitor Center parking area, walk through the Grand Canyon Lodge, continuing south to the Bright Angel Point Trail. This is a half-mile paved path that goes along a short, spiny ridgeline. Clamber down stairs and over a couple of steep bits to the end where a magnificent view awaits. You'll see deep into Bright Angel Canyon and Roaring Springs. Interpretive programs describing this area's unique geology/flora/fauna are offered at the Visitor Center seasonally.

Short Walk: A paved 1/2 mile round trip path to the point (has stairs and some dropoffs)

Family Friendly: Short and paved, this trail is suitable for folks of most abilities. Keep children away from the edge!
