Eagle Rock [Suggest Edits]

Description

It's a rock shaped like an eagle! This is a fun place to take pictures and hang out for a snack break.

Long Walk: This is accessed off of PCT mile 106. The hike starts where the Pacific Coast Trail (PCT) crosses Highway 78 just southwest of the CalFire Warner Springs Fire Station. The trail gradually climbs about 900 vertical feet over the course of 3.3 miles. For the first mile and a half, the trail climbs on the side of an arroyo and depending on the season and recent rains, the stream will have more or less water in it. The trail is generally wide and level with very few rocks or tree routes. The trail climbs out of the arroyo and into more open ground with views of the surrounding mountains.
