Description

Manzanita Lake offers breathtaking views of Lassen Peak from just near the park's main north entrance. Stop by the lake for a peek at the mountain, hike the trail which wraps around the lake, or camp on the lake's south shore; no matter how your explore Manzanita Lake, it will never fail to amaze.

On the Road: The lake is most easily accessed via parking just outside the park entrance, where the lake and views of Lassen Peak are just off the road. The lake can also be accessed via the Loomis Museum (with a much larger parking area) or from the campground on the lake's south end, though visitors will have to hike the trail a short ways for the iconic views of Lassen Peak.

Family Friendly: Great stop just near the park entrance providing accessible adventure, and even a short hike that's great for those with smaller children.
