Description

One of the striking views in the Macizo Circuit. When you reach the top of the pass you can turn back and look to the east to have a gorgeous view of the valley Los Perros. To the north you have a view of the glaciers hanging from Cerro Amistad and to the south, a great view of the peaks of the northern range of the Macizo mountains - the same you can see from the Mirador Britanico. Finally, look to the west and be stunned and amazed with the jawbreaking view you'll have of the full extension of the Grey glacier - from its snowy origins in the north within the Patagonian Southern Ice Field down to its terminus on the Grey Lake to the south. This is certainly one of the most amazing views in the park, and you can only access it if you are hiking the Macizo circuit (the 'O'). The wind up here can be incredibly strong depending on the conditions. Sights are not guaranteed. Start the day early for a better chance of clear weather.

Overnight Trip: You can only access the pass if you are doing the Macizo Circuit ("O" circuit). This will typically be the 4th day of the circuit. From campsite Los Perros, it is a 2 to 3 hours hike to the pass, through some very steep terrain.
