Silver Falls [Suggest Edits]
Description
At the end of a short trail from the parking area is 259-foot high Silver Falls. The water plunges over a unique dome-like lip to fall free into a cluster of large, water-worn boulders at the base of the falls.
Short Walk: The Golden and Silver Falls State Natural Area is 24 miles east of Coos Bay, Oregon on paved and gravel roads (only the last 3 miles is gravel). There is a small parking lot and a vault toilet at the end of the road. There are picnic tables and the creek is fun to splash around in during the summer months.
Family Friendly: An easy hike to a big waterfall.
