Description
Cohutta Overlook offers a paranoramic view of the lower Cohutta Wilderness, including Grassy Mountain Firetower. This is an excellent spot for sunrise, sunset, and snow viewing. Bring clothing layers to put on if hiking in winter!
On the Road: From the Pinhoti Trailhead on Hwy 52, go left and hike about 0.1 miles along the highway to access the overlook. You can see the "One Way Only" sign (exit point from Hwy 52) from the Pinhoti TH. Yes, you can drive to this one (there is only enough space to park a few cars). Hike up the gated USFS access to directly access the overlook.
