Local Info

There is a large network of trails in this area that are all relatively flat and sand/dirt covered. This is in the forest so the trees are plentiful. A lovely, very clean creek runs through the campground with rocks on the north end and a shallow sandy bottom on the south end.

Visiting Tips

November 15-30 is deer hunting season. It is best to not hike or ride your horses in this area at that time.

Camping & Lodging

The campground at Silver Creek Park is perfect for tent and hammock campers and a great place for road bike riders to stay. There are pit toilets and water pump stations available. There is a coldwater trout stream, so in the winter when the water pumps are closed, the stream may still be available for water if you filter, of course.
