Little Mountain Park

Overview

Encompassing over 500 acres, Little Mountain Park is both the largest and finest of Mount Vernon's Parks. This tiny mountain located east of I5 has long been loved by locals who enjoyed the broad vistas available from the drive to the summit. More recently, the richly forested slopes have become a popular spot for hikers, trail runners, and mountain bikers who come to exercise and play on the well-built trails in a beautiful forest environment. Located just 10 minutes from downtown Mount Vernon, the park is an easy drive from Seattle or Bellingham.

Easy access, well-maintained trails, and views from the summit make Little Mountain Park a great place. But it's the vibrant second growth forests that cover the park that make it a real hiking gem. And with 6.5 miles of multi-use singletrack and access to 2.5 miles of pedestrian-only trails, there are lots of options to suit individuals and groups as they escape to nature just minutes from the city.
