Fort Flagler was a coastal artillery fort. It was established in 1897 and activated in 1899 and deactivated in 1956. Fort Flagler is the sister fort to Fort Worden and Fort Casey. Fort Flagler has hiking, running, and biking trails, individual campsites suitable for cars, two group campsites, two boat launches, and several historical buildings where visitors can stay—the Hospital Steward's House, the Waterway House—and much more to explore.
