Description

Starting from the parking area, off Horseshoe Pond Road, the trail travels westward. The trail climbs up to the Red Loop, then turns right. At the other spur of the Red Loop, the trail takes a sharp right turn. It travels through a Hemlock forest, that changes over to Beech. The trail takes another right turn, and heads back to the parking area.

Flora & Fauna

Flora: Eastern Hemlock, Birch, Beech.
Fauna: Turkey (tracks), Deer (tracks).
Geological Interest: Quartz, Mica, Feldspar, Garnet, Phenakite, Granite Pegmatite, Topaz (from USFS website of minerals at Lords Hill).
