Follow the trail along the fence until it splits after a tenth of a mile. You can hike the loop in either direction. Take the left and head up the hill and you'll reach Vista Pond, a small lake tugged away between the hills. Turn south and continue up the hill. The trail then loops around the hill and parallels another fence on the south side. Rejoin where you took a left turn after 0.8 miles.
