Description

Nice easy path with options to head to other more challenging paths. Starting at the Visitor Center this trail splits the park in two and takes you to a beach on the Potomac River. The trail leads path old homesites, wildflowers, campsites and a small marsh.

Flora & Fauna

Lots of different wildflowers, closer we got to the beach the less birds we saw due to the stiff breeze. On previous trips here, the area is typically good for birding.
