Description

The trail starts in Alpine Meadows and heads up the southern flank of KT-22. After 0.6 miles, the trail zigzags a few times and leaves the forested valley. A great viewpoint of the entire valley is at 1.1. miles. At 2 miles, the trail turns left where Squaw Saddle Trail #16E27 continues ahead. Descend gently to the westmost of the fives lakes. The trail straddles its northern shore and heads west to join Squaw Saddle Trail #16E27 again.
