Description

From the pass above Granite Lake, follow this narrow trail as it moves around Seven Up Peak. The trail is oftentimes not even a foot wide, extra caution is required for the first half mile as the trail crosses the scree on the western flank of Seven Up Peak. Views down into the Deer Creek drainage and beyond are abundant and spectacular. After 0.7 miles, you cross the ridge and highest point of the trail. Even Mount Shasta is visible from here. Make your way down into Beak Creek Valley and reach Bear Basin Trail at 1.3 miles.
