Overview

A forested and then ridgeline out-and-back route with rewarding views.

Description

You'll have to park at the Killian Canyon parking lot, about 0.5 miles from the actual trailhead. The parking at the trailhead is for emergency vehicles only.

The first 2.2 miles is a forested singletrack going along a creek, bringing you up to an exposed ridge. Take the trail to the left to head up to Lookout Peak.

The rest of the trail is fairly exposed and somewhat runnable depending on your abilities. I recommend trekking poles. Get ready for great views and a fun run back down.
