Overview

Boucher Hill Loop is a 1.9 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Palomar Mountain, California that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking and is accessible year-round. A large portion of this trail is a paved fire road.

Need to Know

Palomar Mountain State Park charges a fee to enter. The fee is $10 per vehicle.

Description

There is a fire lookout tower at the summit of the hill that is open to the public, depending on the season. By the lookout tower is also an observation deck that offers panoramic views of the whole area.

The trailhead is a short hike from the Silvercrest parking lot, at the junction of five roads.

It costs $10 for entry to Palomar State Park.
