Family Friendly All of the trails in this part of the Arboretum are great for the family to explore.

Description

This wide gravel fill trail connects the Forest Discovery Trail to the Randall Pond Trail and Redcedar Run Trail (via a bit of road) in the southwestern corner of the park. Along the way you'll pass (from west to east) Walnut, American Chestnut, California Hazel, Maritime Pine, Chinese Arborvitae, and Scotch Pine. Fall brings nice colors while early summer brings out cherries. This trail has little shade.
