Learning center at the beginning of the trail and info boards along the trail. Ponds can be paddled using kayaks rented on site. Pavillions to picnic and play areas for children.
Paved circuit in city park. Path also crosses a bridge between two ponds. Some up and down but gentle incline (but not ADA compliant).
Need to Know
Parking is free and available. If the area identified in the map is full (unlikely) there is additional parking at the top of the hill. You cannot get lost here.
Description
Paved track accessible from two different parking areas within the park. Area is level around the ponds but there is a some ascent on the south side. Well trafficked and well maintained. Discovery Center near the parking lot.
Flora & Fauna
rabbits, badgers, local and migrating birds, Texas wildflowers in season
wild flowers were stunning. ponds are full after recent rains. Demonstration garden near the discovery/learning center is also in full bloom.
