Description
The trail follows a dirt road with a good climb for the first mile. It's mostly exposed so take plenty of water if you're hiking in the summer. Having come half the distance already, it works well to complete a lollipop route via the Santa Ysabel East "loop" trail, a segment of the
Coast to Crest Trail: Santa Ysabel West to Highway 79 trail, and the Santa Ysabel East loop, before returning the way you came. There is also two connecting trails that will take you to the nature center, the signs for this are clearly marked.
