From the trailhead stay right. The other trail is Stewardship Trail. The route mostly follows the shore and Cocolalla Creek only going inland to avoid swampy areas.

Just before crossing the creek on your way back, Stewardship Trail trail joins up and you may have some bike traffic for the last 1/2 mile. This trail does have a couple of connecter trails on the west end that take you to Stewardship Trail.

If you just want access to the Swamp Tromp Trail, consider starting at the end and going clockwise around the lake.
