This singletrack is a popular downhill mountain bike route. This hiker prefers to hike this trail in an uphill direction to better see these other trail users.

Description

This trail starts on the floor of the canyon and slowly starts making its way uphill. The hillside you'll soon be ascending is open, grassy and steep. However, thanks to numerous switches the trail itself has only a very gentle grade. As you gain altitude, there are some very nice views of the secluded valley below. Once at the top you are reconnected with the Bay Area Ridge Trail.
