Description

The trail begins from the top of Lookout Mountain and heads down the "back side" away from the view of Hartford. Follow the clear yellow blazes. The trail is between 1 and 1.1 miles long and terminates south of the summit on the Shenipsit Trail. Once you begin the trail you'll head down the hill. The trail will make a right hand turn and follow the Shenipsit Trail for a few hundred feet before turning downhill again. The trail crosses the Carriage Path (White) Trail.

As the trail continues downhill you parallel a nice creek for a while before turning to begin your assent.
