Description
Head north on
Green Falls Road until it merges with the
Narragansett Trail at the smaller dyke on the southeast edge of Green Falls Pond. The road continues until intersecting with a portion of the
Narragansett Trail on the right side.
The trail is marked in baby blue blazes (say three times quickly) as it winds through an old dam and waterfall, a series of small canyons, a beaver dam, and dinosaur cave.
The caves are not that large and are not the products of dinosaurs, but it is a nice big slab of bedrock scraped by the glacier so it is still cool.
Head right (south) onto the
Laurel Loop/Yawgoog Trail (Blue Yellow) until it meets up with the active
Green Fall Road for about the last 0.8 miles of the walk. The road is not so busy but if you are walking with a dog, you should be cautious. It is such a pretty area of the state and there are many trails which converge in this area.
