Description

Cherry Knobs Trail runs east/west between Lakeside Trail (on west side of lake) and Cross Ridges Trail. Westbound, the trail ascends the knob and intersects Lake Road after 0.7 miles. The trail turns left here and follows Lake Road for about 0.3 miles. The trail then veers right and descends 0.6 miles, intersecting Cross Ridges Trail.

The last section between Lake Road and Cross Ridges Trail doesn't get much traffic and tends to be overgrown during the summer months. The trail and trail sign are also easy to miss if you're not looking for them. Though Cherry Knobs only has 300' of ascent and descent, the grade is steep in a few places. It's a tougher section than expected, especially running it both directions.
